Neodymium Rare Earth Magnet Accessory Pack.

If your planning on adding an additional center support this magnet pack will help you decide what sizes work best for your vents. slim and large so you can mix and match what works best. 

While not required for standard steel 6" duct vents, these magnets provide extra assurance that your magnetic covers will stay in place and tightly seal any leaky duct work in your attic even with attic air leaks. 

If you choose to test these out pick the accessory pack you need. Qty 10 or 20 mixes are available. Typically only 1-4 would be used with each vent diffuser. Vent diffusers from the Big Box stores typically could use 8mm so one of each. Contractor grade diffusers are usually slightly slimmer so an additional 3 or 5mm magnet is perfect.  

This pack includes:

Qty. - 5 each of 12mm x 5mm or (1/2" x 3/16") 

Qty. - 5 each of  12mm x 3mm or (1/2" x 1/8")

Again these are not required for typical mounting. These are not replacement magnets for the vent covers themselves. Rare Earth magnets included with covers are permanently attached. These are for the center support only if desired.

Note: You do not want the center magnet fully connected to the center magnet in the vent cover, if you do this will prevent the seal surface making full contact with your vent diffuser. Use only if needed to help with non-standard mounting. I buy and resell these so if you find them cheaper elsewhere just make sure your using quality Neodymium Rare Earth magnets for best results.
