After a home remodel pushing an older AC unit to its limits we quickly realized a second AC unit needed to be installed up in the attic. Problems started to begin shortly after. Everything was great until the cold winter months began. After a couple cold frozen weeks condensation started to build up in the unused AC attic duct work, past the vent dampers and up into the attic. Then when it warmed up and all of that frozen condensation started to thaw the problems became apparent. Drips started coming down and then streams of water down on to our hardwood floors prompting the search for a solution to remedy this problem. The dampers provided little help stopping all of the forced air from the main heater up into the attic so another solution was needed.

After many HVAC contractors suggestions and cost of insulating duct work better, sealing air ducts in attic better. Installing insulated duct work up in the attic. Nothing seemed to solve our issues, like truly closing off the air flow from the conditioned living space to the unconditioned frozen attic during the winter months. Thus, Winter Home Solutions was started to help other home owners and business owners eliminate these problems. 

In 2024 we set off on designing, patenting, manufacturing products to completely seal up your unused attic duct work during the winter months. Launched in early 2025 our first lineup of round ceiling vent covers with integrated foam sealing technology has arrived. Both friction mechanical mounting and Neodymium Rare Earth magnetic mounted options are now available for standard 6" duct diffusers widely used in the market. Custom 8" duct diffusers seals and products up to 12 1/2" diameter are currently within our production capabilities for custom solutions. More standard solutions will be released soon.
